THE CUBAN
Directed by Sergio Navarretta and written by Alessandra Piccione, THE CUBAN stars Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr., DEGRASSI’s Ana Golja, Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, GREY'S ANATOMY's Giacomo Gianniotti, and Lauren Holly. THE CUBAN premiered at numerous film festivals internationally, winning Best Narrative Feature and Audience Awards at both the Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival and the Montreal Black Film Festival, among others. It ranked in the Top Ten amongst the Hollywood Critics Association picks for Best Film of 2020, and actors Gossett and Aghdashloo were named in Variety’s list of contenders in the 2021 Oscar race, after which the film joined the 2021 Oscar nomination race, and was nominated for three 2021 Canadian Screen Awards.
